We’re delighted to let our clients know that we raised a total of £2785 to support Will Aid during the month of November 2014. Instead of paying our solicitors’ fee for completing a will, clients were invited to make a donation to charity instead. The suggested voluntary donation was £95 for a basic Will or £150 for a pair of basic mirror Wills. The money raised by solicitors is distributed to the Will Aid charities where it is being put to work on a wide variety of projects which are making a real difference to vulnerable people both here in the UK and around the world. Just one example is Save the Children’s Born to Read programme which will help 23,000 primary school children in deprived areas. This programme provides volunteers for one-to-one reading support and shows parents how to develop their children’s reading skills at home. Learning to read is fundamental to future life prospects as without this basic skill children face a future of low pay and few job prospects.
