Morgans Welcomes New Partner Brian Tait

The Partners of Morgans are delighted to announce that Brian Tait joins the firm as a partner on 1st June 2017.

A well-known and respected solicitor in Dunfermline, Brian joins from Drummond Miller LLP, Dunfermline and Edinburgh, where he spent 27 years, 19 years as a partner. For over 25 years, Brian has specialised in litigation with an emphasis on civil litigation, family law and employment law. He is also regularly instructed in personal injury, adults with incapacity and criminal matters. He has gained a reputation for being able, thorough, pragmatic and approachable. He has strong advocacy skills when litigation is necessary but strives, where possible, to reach a negotiated settlement.

Commenting on his move to Morgans Brian says, “It has perhaps been one of the longest courtships as Blair Morgan first approached me to join Morgans in the late 1990’s when I was a young solicitor, having recently moved to work in Dunfermline where I opened an office for my former firm. Twenty years on and with the next generation of Morgans at the helm, I am very pleased to be joining one of the largest and most respected law firms in the area.   

The way that legal services are delivered has changed and client expectations are rightly very high. Clients should receive specialist and tailored advice on any given matter and generally prefer to have all of their legal needs met within one office.   Morgans enjoys an excellent reputation with one of the busiest estate agency, conveyancing and private client practices in the area. I hope that my personal reputation in litigation, especially in family law and employment law will enhance the firm’s reputation and compliment the services already available to clients. 

Before being able to join Morgans I had a six month period of paid garden leave from my former firm. Amongst other things, I undertook a garden design course. My garden has never looked so good but I am now happy to leave it to nature and get back to doing what I do best. I look forward to assisting clients through their legal issues and getting back into court.”

Experienced Conveyancing Secretary

This full time position involves providing direct support to one of our Conveyancing Partners. Excellent organisational skills are essential for this role. Applicants must have fast and accurate audio typing skills, experience of Case Management systems, good numeracy and literacy skills. The duties will also include diary management, making and answering telephone calls, dealing directly with clients, scanning, copying and filing.
